Since 1997, David Angulo has been representing clients in commercial and civil litigation. His practice has been primarily focused on business disputes, including areas such as employment, construction, product liability, deceptive trade practices, and contract disputes. He has played a critical role in successfully defending clients in cases where the damages sought ranged anywhere from $10,000 to over $1 billion. He has also successfully handled claims on behalf of plaintiffs, including areas such as construction defects and employee theft.

David’s practice has been local, regional and national in scope. He has participated in trials in both state and federal courts in San Antonio and throughout Texas. He has also been in trials in such places as Iowa, Arkansas and New Jersey. He gained valuable litigation and trial experience while an associate and then a partner at Davis, Cedillo & Mendoza, Inc., where he mostly represented Fortune 500 companies in diverse fields.

Professional Background:

Immediately out of law school, David joined the firm of Davis, Cedillo and Mendoza, Inc. In January, 2004, David became a shareholder of the firm and continued in that capacity until December, 2008 when he formed Gonzalez, Chiscano, Angulo & Kasson, PC. He is admitted to all the state courts in the State of Texas as well as the Western, Northern and Southern U.S. Federal District Courts of Texas.

Education:
David graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1993 with a bachelor of arts degree in English. He graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law (San Antonio, Texas) in 1997.

Awards/Recognitions:
In 2008 and 2009, David was named by Texas Monthly magazine as a “Rising Star” in the area of commercial litigation. David is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell, indicating his peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence.

Family:
David is married to Emily Angulo, who is a prosecutor at the District Attorney’s office in San Antonio. David and Emily have two young boys, Bennett and Joseph.
