Henry
B. Gonzalez III is Vice President of Gonzalez,
Chiscano, Angulo & Kasson, P.C. His
practice has focused primarily on representing
insurance companies in first and third party
matters and their insureds in tort and business
litigation (including claims involving professional
negligence and construction defects). He
co-founded Gonzalez, Chiscano, Angulo &
Kasson, P.C. after having been and associate
and then partner at the nationally recognized
firm of Davis, Cedillo & Mendoza, Inc.
for thirteen years.

Professional Background
Mr. Gonzalez has been licensed in all Texas State
Courts since 1995 and was subsequently admitted
in the Western and Southern U.S. Federal District
Courts of Texas. He has extensive experience in
courts throughout the State of Texas.
Education
Mr. Gonzalez graduated from the Baylor University
School of Law in 1995. He received a Bachelor of
Business Administration (Finance) from the University
of Texas at Austin in 1992. He is also a graduate
of Texas Military Institute (now known as TMI –
The Episcopal School of Texas). He participated
at the International Association of Defense Counsel’s
Defense Counsel Trial Academy in 1999.
Memberships
Mr. Gonzalez was elected a Fellow of the Texas Bar
Foundation in 2004; elected a Fellow of the American
Bar Foundation (2008); and serves in a leadership
capacity in the American Bar Association Section
of Litigation (Co-Chair of Section Annual Conference
Committee 2005-2007; Co-Chair of Distance CLE Committee
2007-2008).

(in various capacities promoting the high performance
charter school which serves inner-city children)
and St. Luke’s Episcopal School (in various
capacities, including serving on the Head of School
Search Committee). Mr. Gonzalez is a member of the

American Inn of Court; College of the State Bar
of Texas; State Bar of Texas; San Antonio Bar Association;
Defense Research Institute; and Webb County Bar
Association.
Awards/Recognitions
Mr. Gonzalez has been recognized as a Texas Super
Lawyers Rising Star (2005 and 2007) and been featured
as a Texas Super Lawyer (2008).
Family
Mr. Gonzalez is married to the former Barbara Pena
and they have three children: Marissa, Joaquin and
Gaston.
