Matt Maupin, Law Clerk
Matt Maupin is a law student at Baylor School of Law and joined the firm as a law clerk in the spring of 2021. Mr. Maupin is a talented advocate, having participated in numerous national and state mock trial and moot court competitions as well as being named one of the top speakers in the Faegre Drinker Biddle Moot Court Competition and achieving membership in the Baylor Barrister Society. While at Baylor Law, Mr. Maupin has completed a Professional Track in Business Litigation, preparing him for complicated and diverse commercial lawsuits. Mr. Maupin is a graduate of the University of Texas, where he holds degrees in both Government and Rhetoric & Writing. He was awarded membership in the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society. While in college, he was the President of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and traveled the nation representing the University of Texas Mock Trial Team. Before joining Gonzalez, Chiscano, Angulo & Kasson, Mr. Maupin was selected to be the youngest intern for the Lieutenant Governor’s General Counsel Office and worked at a political consulting and fundraising firm.
